I have over 13 years of experience working in the mental health and addictions field. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, outpatient, in-home, Community based, hospital and telehealth. I have experience working with anxiety, family/relationship conflicts, addictions, and complex trauma/abuse, depression, and immigration/acculturation issues.
My goal is to work on removing the stigma associated with mental health and addiction. I use a person-centered, holistic, multicultural, and integrative approach in treatment. I primarily use evidence-based techniques including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused counseling.
I work collaboratively to accomplish identified goals. I would describe my style as warm and supportive.
